The short version
There are no accounts, and nothing we ask for identifies you. What you read, save and write stays on your device unless you send it somewhere yourself. Prayer times, the qibla and the Arabic Qur'ān are all computed on your device.
Three things reach us, each described below: a poll answer, written feedback, and an anonymous usage report. Nothing attached to any of them says who you are.
The app carries no ads, no tracking SDKs and no third-party analytics. We never follow you across other companies' apps or websites, and we never pass anything to a data broker.
What stays on your device
Your settings, tasbīḥ counts, reading position, bookmarks, notes, ḥadīth progress and khatmah progress are saved on your device only. So are your last five in-book ḥadīth searches, capped at five and cleared with a tap.
Munādī also keeps a copy of some online content in a cache folder, so it still works next time you're offline. Not everything is kept. Some material is held only while you read it, and is gone when the app closes. Either way it is downloaded material, not information about you, and it is never sent anywhere either.
The app sends none of this anywhere by itself. It travels only if you share it. Munādī can build a PDF of your notes and hand it to your phone's share sheet. Uninstalling deletes all of it.
Notifications
Prayer reminders are scheduled on your device, from times computed on your device. There is no push server. Nothing about you or your schedule is sent anywhere to make them work, and no one learns that a reminder fired. You can refuse notification permission, or turn reminders off per prayer.
Location
Set your location three ways: your device GPS, a city or ZIP search, or the app's default city. Permission is asked only when you tap "Use my location." Your coordinates are never transmitted to us, and we run no server that receives your location.
Your phone's own geocoder, which is Apple's or Google's and runs under their terms rather than ours, is used three times: to turn coordinates into a place name, to turn a city or ZIP you type into coordinates, and, while the usage report is on and you have set your own location, to reduce that location to a country-and-state code. The third happens on its own, without you tapping anything. We never see any of these lookups. Keeping the default city avoids all three.
Our noticeboard, polls and feedback
Munādī checks one address we operate, themunadi.com, for an occasional message, sometimes carrying a poll. As with loading any web page, the server sees your device's IP address; our code neither reads nor stores it. No identifier or device ID is involved.
A poll sends only which message it was and which option you chose. Feedback sends only the message it relates to and the text you typed. Nothing identifying is attached to either, and nothing links two answers together. Both are opt-in per message.
Feedback is a free-text box, so please don't put personal details in it. If you do, we hold what you typed. It is attached to nothing that identifies you, but it is held.
A message may carry a link or a picture. A link opens only if you tap it. A picture loads as the message appears, so its host sees your IP address. Both are addresses we choose.
themunadi.com is our own service, our own code and our own database, running on Cloudflare's machines as our hosting provider, under their terms. They are not a partner we share data with, and no advertising company is involved at any point.
What the app counts
Munādī sends an anonymous usage report so we can see which parts of the app people use. It carries no identifier of any kind: no account, no device ID, no advertising ID, and nothing invented to stand in for one. Two short reports a day, each at its own random hour, and nothing joins them to each other, to an earlier day, or to you.
A report contains: which parts of the app you opened that day and which basic actions were used, as a rough band rather than a number; how the app is set up, meaning your choices in Settings, which Munādī widgets you have placed on your Home or Lock Screen, and how far through the in-app guide you have got, none of which say anything about what you read; which content services failed to answer, and whether you were offline most of the day; your country, from your device's region setting; your state or province, worked out on your device and reduced to a short code before anything leaves it, and left out altogether while you are still on the app's default city; whether you are on iPhone or Android; the app version; and the date.
A report never contains anything about what you read. No sūrah, verse, page or juz numbers, no khatmah progress, no record of which ḥadīth you read. It counts that a collection was opened, never which narration. It carries nothing you wrote or searched for, meaning no search terms, notes, bookmarks or dhikr. It carries no coordinates, no city, no address and no time of day, only the date. And it carries nothing that names you or your phone: no name, email, advertising ID, device serial, device model, OS version or crash reports.
A report's numbers are added into running totals and the report is discarded in the same request, so no table exists that could hold one device's day. If you are offline it waits at most three days, then is thrown away.
The switch is in Settings ▸ About & legal. Turning it off stops every future report and deletes the counters on your device. What it cannot do is unpick numbers already merged into totals, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Counting visits to this website
This website counts page visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets nothing on your device, uses no cookies, and never identifies a visitor. It records only that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, and which site linked you here. It is not connected to your email address, and it is not connected to anything in the Munādī app.

Content loaded from elsewhere
Some content, including extra translations, tafsīr, ḥadīth, and recitation or adhan audio, is loaded from third parties when you open it. The app also checks our noticeboard for a message when you open or return to it, and on Android the full adhan is streamed at prayer time rather than bundled. These requests fetch public content and carry nothing about you, though the service answering necessarily sees your IP address, as any website does. We do not control their practices.
Those services are Al Quran Cloud / Islamic Network, Quran.com, QuranEnc, jsDelivr, HadeethEnc.com (IslamHouse), the AlAdhan CDN and IslamCan.
The core experience works fully offline as installed: the Arabic Qur'ān, prayer times and the qibla all compute on your device, without contacting anyone. The network is reached only when you open optional online content, on the noticeboard check, on a short warm-up if your language's translation isn't built in, for the location lookups described above, and on Android when the full adhan streams at prayer time.
Children, and your rights
Munādī is safe for all ages and is not directed to children under 13. We ask for nothing that identifies anyone, of any age, and there is no advertising and no third-party tracking.
Munādī has no accounts and asks for nothing that identifies you. What we hold is anonymous totals, added up on arrival with the reports discarded in the same request. So if you ask what we have about you, the honest answer is that there is nothing to look up: no row, no profile, nothing to access, correct, delete, export or sell. That is a fact about how the data is built, not a promise about how we behave.
We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as California law or the GDPR define those terms. Data-protection rights you have where you live still apply, and you are welcome to write to us with any question.
The one thing we retain that you wrote is feedback text. Nothing attached to it points back to you, which also means we cannot find "your" submission on request. Tell us what you wrote and we will delete it.
