To save a round trip, tell us four things: your phone model, whether it is iPhone or Android, the app version (Settings ▸ About & legal), and what you did just before the problem appeared. A screenshot or a short screen recording is worth more than any description, and neither one identifies you to us.
The prayer times look wrong
Munādī computes prayer times on your device, so a wrong time is nearly always the calculation method or the location rather than a fault.
Check the method first. Munādī picks a conventional method from your country on first run, and defaults to Muslim World League where no single convention applies. Your mosque may follow a different one. Change it in Settings, under the prayer-time section.
Then check the location. The app keeps one location, and it is set on the back of the qibla dial: open Qibla, tap the dial to turn it over, and set it there. Changing it there moves Fajr and reschedules your notifications immediately.
Still a few minutes out? If your mosque announces times that differ from every standard method, set a manual plus or minus offset per prayer in Settings. The offset follows that prayer on every future day.
I am not getting prayer notifications
If notification permission was denied, the line under the Today timeline turns maroon and reads "Notifications are off. Bells won't ring. Tap to enable." Tap it. That re-requests permission and refills the schedule in one step.
If you never saw that line, check your phone's own settings: iOS Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ Munādī, or Android Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Munādī ▸ Notifications. A Focus or Do Not Disturb mode will also hold alerts back.
One thing that is deliberate rather than broken: sunrise is shown on the timeline but never notified, and it has no bell of its own.
Munādī schedules seven days of prayers ahead and refills that window every time you open the app. If the phone goes weeks without the app being opened at all, the schedule runs out. Opening it once refills it.
The adhan is silent, or it is only a short chime
This is the question we get asked most, and the answer is a real distinction rather than a bug.
The per-prayer bell on the Today page has two states: adhan and silent. The bell decides whether a sound plays. The written message arrives either way. For total silence, mute Munādī in your phone's own settings.
Separately, there is a full adhan switch in Settings. With it on, the call plays as a real alarm and sounds even when your phone is locked, on silent, or in a Focus. With it off, prayers use a short notification chime of one takbīr instead, and that chime is muted by your phone's silent switch, the same as any other notification. If you turned the full adhan off and then wondered why the phone went quiet on silent, that is why.
On Android the full adhan recordings are downloaded rather than shipped in the app, so the first play of a voice needs a connection. iOS carries them in the app.
The qibla dial shows a crossed compass instead of a direction
That mark means the phone cannot give a trustworthy heading, usually because there is no location fix yet. Munādī points to true north, which needs the fix, and it will show you nothing rather than point confidently in an arbitrary direction.
When that happens the app still gives you the bearing as a number, so you can face it manually with any compass. Step near a window, give the location a moment, and the dial returns.
If the needle is jumpy, move away from metal, magnets, a car dashboard or a magnetic phone case, and sweep the phone in a figure of eight. There is no calibration prompt on purpose: on iPhone the accuracy reading crosses the usual threshold constantly indoors, and a warning that flickers on and off is worse than none.
What works without a connection
Everything you need in order to pray and to read works on a dead network from the moment you install it: prayer times, the qibla, the complete Arabic Qur'ān in four scripts, one full English translation, the Arabic of all seven ḥadīth collections, tasbīḥ, and the tajwīd colouring. None of it is a download.
These need a connection once, then work offline forever: the extra Qur'ān translations, tafsir, and the word timings that drive the recitation highlight.
These need a connection every time: recitation audio, ḥadīth book translations, Saheeh International, the adhan previews in Settings, and the curated Ḥadīth Garden. The Garden is online-only because of the terms it is published under, not because of a technical limit, which is why its cover declines the tap when you are offline instead of opening onto an empty page.
I found an error in the Qur'ān, a translation or a ḥadīth
Please tell us. Write to support@themunadi.com with the exact reference, the sūrah and āyah number or the collection and ḥadīth number, and which edition or script you were reading. We treat these ahead of everything else.
Munādī does not author scripture or translations. The Arabic, the translations, the tafsir and the ḥadīth all come from named published sources, credited in full inside the app under Settings ▸ About & legal ▸ Sources. Where an error is in a source rather than in our handling of it, we will say so and take it up with them.
Accounts, cost and ads
There are no accounts and nothing to sign in to. Munādī is free, carries no ads, has no subscription and no purchases inside it. Nothing is held back behind a paywall.
Your data, and deleting it
Your settings, tasbīḥ counts, reading position, bookmarks, notes and progress live on your device only. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. There is no copy on a server to ask us for, because we never had one.
The only thing we keep that you wrote is feedback text you chose to send us, and nothing attached to it says who you are. That also means we cannot look up "your" submission. Tell us roughly what you wrote and we will delete it.

Send them to the same address. Munādī is built by a small team and read by people in many countries, so we cannot promise any particular feature, but every message is read and a good number of the app's current behaviours started as one.
